CARY, N.C. – The Carolina RailHawks travel to Florida for the first time this season to take on North American Soccer League (NASL) rival, the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday.

The RailHawks (2W- 0T-5L, 6pts) are coming off a 3-2 loss at home to FC Edmonton last Saturday, while the Rowdies (3W-0T-2L, 9pts) recently defeated the New York Cosmos 3-1.

A week earlier, it was the Rowdies who downed Carolina on its home pitch with a 4-3 decision that began a current two-game slide.

The RailHawks sit just 2 points behind the fourth-place Rowdies in the league combined standings and must earn a positive result to stay in contention for a post-season spot with 11 games remaining.

To help with its Fall Season push towards the playoffs, Carolina announced on Friday that it had acquired defender Kwame Watson-Siriboe on loan from Major League Soccer (MLS) side New York City FC.

“Saturday’s game against the Rowdies is really important for us,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said.

“We had two negative results at home and need to find our way back to winning. We lost to the Rowdies at home two weeks ago and we certainly would like to get back to our winning ways this week in Tampa.”
