RALEIGH, N.C. – This past weekend, all three Triangle-area Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) women’s basketball teams ended up on the winning side of the score sheet.

The Duke Blue Devils (8-3), North Carolina Tar Heels (11-1), and the N.C. State Wolfpack (9-3) won both at home and on the road.

The 10th-ranked Blue Devils ended a three-game home stand in five days with three wins, including a critical 89-68 victory over then No. 8 Kentucky on Sunday.

Duke’s current win streakfollowed three straight losses to ranked teams (Texas A&M, Nebraska, South Carolina) the week prior.

On the road, the ninth-ranked Tar Heels topped the Maine Black Bears (65-36) and the Elon Phoenix (85-67) at the Carolinas Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Friday and Sunday respectively.

North Carolina bounced back with the two wins after suffering its first loss of the season to then No. 16 Oregon State (70-55) last Wednesday.

The Tar Heels’ loss at the No. 6 spot didn’t drop them out of the AP Top 10, but boosted the Beavers forward to sit alongside the Blue Devils in the 10-spot as of Monday.

The Wolfpack added wins to their recent four-game win streak, pulling out a final-seconds 67-64 win over the Liberty Flames last Wednesday before running past the Davidson Wildcats 82-66 at Reynolds Coliseum on Friday.
