CARY, N.C. – Carolina RailHawks forward Zack Schilawski was named North American Soccer League (NASL) Player of the Week (POW) as announced by the league on Monday.
Schilawski’s two-goal performance in a 3-0 win over Ottawa on Saturday earned him his second POW honor of the season.
He is currently tied for third place on the NASL goal scoring list with five.
“It was a great win over the weekend and I am glad I was able to contribute,” Schilawski said.
“I am just happy that the team got another home win and that we got the three points.”
With Schilawski’s help, the RailHawks ended their four-game losing streak with the dominating win over the Fury in front of their home crowd.
“He has been working hard all year long, so it is great for him to get the recognition he deserves,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said.
“It is a well-deserved award for Zack after scoring two big goals on Saturday.”
