CARY, N.C. – The Carolina RailHawks look to remain among the contenders for the NASL’s Championship when they host the Atlanta Silverbacks at WakeMed Soccer Park in the league’s Match of the Week on Saturday.

The RailHawks (3W-0T-5L, 9 points) are in the thick of the race to the league’s four-team postseason tournament, currently sitting in fourth place in the Combined Standings.

The Silverbacks (2W-2T-3L, 8 points) trail the RailHawks by five points in the table.

Coming off a 1-0 road victory last weekend over the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Carolina has won three of its last five games, and intends to remain among the league’s playoff contenders by the end of the regular season.

Since the inception of the modern NASL, the RailHawks hold a 9W-3D-1L record against the Silverbacks and are undefeated (5W-2D-0L) against them on their home pitch.

“Saturday’s game is really important for us – we need to get back to winning at home,” RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke said.

“Every week there is one less game and points are very important. We got a great result in Tampa Bay last week, and we need to back that up with three points at home.”
