RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes announced the team’s 2014-15 training camp schedule on Monday.

On-ice workouts will begin in two groups on Fri., Sept. 19, with a short team scrimmage taking place in between the sessions at PNC Arena.

All training camp practices are open to the public and media, with the exception of Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, which are closed to the public due to N.C. State football.

Following two days of practice, the Hurricanes will open their preseason schedule on Sun., Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. against the Columbus Blue Jackets at PNC Arena.

The team will hold its annual Kids ‘N Community Foundation Golf Tournament the next day, before departing on a two-game road trip to play exhibition games against the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders.

The Hurricanes will host the annual Caniac Carnival at PNC Arena on Fri., Sept. 26, which will include a Red-White scrimmage that will begin at 7 p.m.

Carolina visits St. Louis and Columbus for back-to-back road exhibition games on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, before returning home to play its second and final home preseason game on Fri., Oct. 3, against Buffalo.

The Hurricanes conclude their exhibition schedule with a road game against the Washington Capitals on Sun., Oct. 5.

The team wraps up training camp with three consecutive 11 a.m. practices at PNC Arena from Oct. 7-9, before opening the 2014-15 regular season in Raleigh on Fri., Oct. 10 against the Islanders.
