DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Blue Devils senior Jamison Crowder and redshirt sophomore DeVon Edwards each received Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Week honors as announced by the league on Monday.

Crowder earned Receiver of the Week honors and Edwards garnered Specialist of the Week recognition following the Blue Devils’ 51-48 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

The ACC honor is first of the year for both players, and the sixth of Crowder’s career and second of Edwards’ career.

Crowder was recognized after catching nine passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns, covering 38 and 45 yards against the Panthers.

He averaged 18.33 yards per reception, with seven catches producing first downs against a Pitt squad that ranked first in the ACC in passing defense entering the week.

In one of the key plays of the game, Crowder hauled in a 27-yard pass to set up wildcat quarterback Thomas Sirk’s one-yard touchdown run on the final play of the half that tied the game at 28-28.

Crowder’s nine receptions moved him ahead of Clemson’s Sammy Watkins (240) and into second on the ACC’s career receptions chart with 247.

Edwards tallied a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave Duke a 38-31 lead.

Overall, Edwards finished with 160 kickoff return yards on four attempts, good for an average of 40 yards a return.

Edwards also helped on defense and contributed 10 tackles at the safety position.

Duke’s two selections continue its streak of weekly award winners as the Blue Devils have had at least one honoree the last six weeks they have played.

The ACC’s other weekly honors included Florida State offensive back Jameis Winston, offensive lineman Cameron Erving, linebacker Reggie Northrup and rookie Dalvin Cook, Pittsburgh offensive back James Conner and offensive lineman T.J. Clemmings, Georgia Tech defensive lineman Keshun Freeman and Boston College defensive back Manny Asprilla.
