RALEIGH, NC – The 2023 UNC Health Championship teed off early at Raleigh Country Club on Thursday morning.

The Championship presented by STITCH marks the 12th tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour’s 26-event schedule with two past champions in the field: Joey Garber (2018) and Scott Gutschewski (2008).

Raleigh natives Carter Jenkins and Grayson Murray, along with the Tour’s Money and Point list leader Ben Kohles (Cary) highlight the local contingent of players competing this year.

In addition to Jenkins, Murray, and Kohles, players in the field with ties to the state of North Carolina include: Ryan Blaum (Durham resident), Trevor Cone (Charlotte native and resident), Patrick Cover (Mooresville native, Charlotte resident), sponsor exemption Trace Crowe (Charlotte resident), Taylor Dickson (Gastonia native), Brandon Hagy (Charlotte resident), Brad Hopfinger (Charlotte resident), David Kocher (Charlotte resident), and Thomas Walsh (High Point native).
