GREENSBORO, NC – The quarterfinal matchups are set for play on Friday at the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Following two days of opening rounds of play at Greensboro Coliseum, it’s literally a toss-up as the field’s top seven seeds are all viable contenders for the title.
The top four seeds – Notre Dame, Duke, Virginia, and Louisville, respectively – are well rested and ready to begin play following a double-bye into the Round of Eight.
No. 12 Wake Forest knocked off No. 5 Florida State on Thursday, and seeks another upset, taking on the Cardinals in the opening game of the day at 11 a.m..
Three-time defending tournament champions NC State will face the Fighting Irish at 2 p.m., while Triangle rivals Duke and North Carolina will battle for a spot in the semifinals at 6 p.m..
Rounding out the full day of play, Miami, last year’s finalist, takes on a hot Virginia Tech squad at 8 p.m.
