DURHAM, N.C.The Duke Blue Devils will travel to play No. 6 seed Johns Hopkins in 2017 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament first-round play at Homewood Field on Saturday.

The Blue Devils (12-4) enter the postseason unseeded for the fourth time in program history and will begin play on the road for just the second time since 2007.

Historically, starting the Tournament outside of the top eight seeds hasn’t bode well for Duke, sitting with an 0-3 record after losses in 1992, 2001, and 2016.

Facing the Blue Jays (8-6) for the seventh time in the NCAA postseason, and for the second time in the opening round, the Blue Devils look to improve on a 3-3 record against them to move on.

Competing in 20 NCAA Tournaments, Duke has posted a 32-17 overall record, made 10 Final Four appearances, and claimed NCAA titles in 2010, 2013 and 2014.
