CHAPEL HILL/DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils each placed five players on the 2015 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s (IWLCA) All-South Regional Team, as announced on Monday.
For the Tar Heels, Maggie Bill, Courtney Waite and Caylee Waters grabbed First Team honors, while teammates Aly Messinger and Caileigh Sindall earned spots on the Second Team.
Duke’s Kerrin Maurer garnered First Team recognition, while Kelsey Duryea, Claire Scarrone, Katie Trees and Taylor Trimble all landed on the Second Team.
The IWLCA honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection on one of its All-Regional teams for 2015.
All selected players became eligible for inclusion on the 2015 IWLCA All-America teams which will be announced on May 18.
