FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – The Carolina RailHawks continued to ride a wave of recent success and attention, and tallied a 1-0 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium on Saturday.

Brian Shriver’s lone marker in the first half was all that was needed to give the RailHawks their second straight NASL Fall Season win to sandwich a recent 2-2 friendly draw with English Premier League (EPL) side West Ham United.

The lone goal came in the 23rd minute on a play initiated by Ty Shipalane and assisted by Matt Fondy who fed Shriver to set up the strike.

Currently sitting tied for fourth place with a 2-0-1 record, Carolina looks to continue to continue its forward momentum with the likely debut of its newest signee, Mexican star and Chivas Guadalajara all-time leading scorer Omar Bravo, when the team returns home to host Miami FC on Friday.
