Duke’s Rowe earns ACC lacrosse weekly honor

DURHAM, N.C. – Third-ranked Duke Blue Devils faceoff specialist Kyle Rowe was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men’s Lacrosse co-Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Rowe won 66 percent (31-of-47) of the faceoffs he took, picked up 20 ground balls, and posted a goal in Duke’s season-opening wins over High Point and Lehigh.

Against High Point, Rowe won 13‐of‐20 draws and picked up seven ground balls as Duke ran past the Panthers 17‐6 on Friday.

On Sunday, Rowe won 18-of-27 faceoffs, picked up 13 groundballs and scored a goal to help the Blue Devils hold off the Mountain Hawks for a 13-11 win.
