DURHAM, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) preseason No. 2 Duke Blue Devils women’s basketball team will take to the floor in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time in 2014-15 hosting its annual Blue-White scrimmage on Sunday.

Head coach Joanne P. McCallie is expected to have the team scrimmage as well as play against the squad’s male practice players over a span of four quarters.

The Blue Devils return one starter – Elizabeth Williams — and seven letterwinners in 2014-15, while welcoming the second-ranked recruiting class in the nation.

Williams along with Ka’lia Johnson, Jenna Frush, Amber Henson, Oderah Chidom, Kendall Cooper and Rebecca Greenwell are the seven returning letterwinners for the Blue Devils.

Greenwell redshirted during the 2013-14 season due to a knee injury and will start her collegiate career this year.

The No. 2 recruiting class includes Sierra Calhoun (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Lyneé Belton (Clinton, Md.), Erin Mathias (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Azurá Stevens (Raleigh, N.C.) and Mercedes Riggs (Salt Lake CC).

Admission to the scrimmage which tips off at 2 p.m. is free, and will feature a team autograph session on the court afterwards.

Following the Blue-White scrimmage, Duke will host exhibition contests at Cameron on Thurs., Oct. 30 against Limestone and on Sun., Nov. 2 against Armstrong Atlantic, before opening the regular season on the road at Alabama on Sun., Nov. 16.

The Blue Devils will then return to Cameron and hold their home opener on Nov. 23 against Marquette.
