Duke women’s basketball tickets on sale

DURHAM, N.C. – The 2013-14 Duke Blue Devils women’s basketball season is approaching quickly and tickets are on sale now as announced by the athletics department on Thursday.

The team’s home schedule will feature some of the best women’s basketball matchups in the country as part of one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the nation.

Throughout the season the Blue Devils will tip off against defending NCAA Champion Connecticut, Big Ten powerhouse Purdue, and SEC opponents Vanderbilt and Alabama among others.

Season ticket packages start as low as $90 and also feature a Pick-5 Game Mini Plan option for the season, while reserved ticket prices in select sections are available as well.

Head coach Joanne P. McCallie will lead her team into her seventh season at Duke as Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) games against new member Notre Dame along with long standing conference rivals North Carolina, Maryland and N.C. State will be part of the overall schedule of play.

McCallie and the Blue Devils return all five starters in 2013-14, including 93.7 percent of their scoring.

Along with returning All-America selections Chelsea Gray and Elizabeth Williams, Duke welcomes back All-ACC performers Tricia Liston, Haley Peters and freshman All-America and ACC Tournament MVP Alexis Jones.

Duke will start its preseason by holding its annual Blue-White scrimmage on Sun., Oct. 27 at Cameron Indoor Stadium, followed by exhibition contests against Glenville State College (Oct. 30) and Coker College (Nov. 3).

The Blue Devils will begin their regular season on the road on Sun., Nov. 10, traveling to the West Coast to face the third-ranked California Golden Bears.
