Duke safety Jeremy Cash earns ACC weekly honor

DURHAM, N.C. Duke Blue Devils safety Jeremy Cash was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Co-Defensive Back of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

In Duke’s recent 22-10 loss at Miami, Cash posted a game-high 10 tackles along with one tackle for loss, two caused fumbles, two quarterback pressures and one pass breakup.

He led a Blue Devils defensive effort that limited the Hurricanes to 22 points – 9.5 below their season average entering the week.

For the season, Cash ranks second on the team with 45 total tackles while pacing the squad in tackles for loss (5.0).

Cash shared the Defensive Back of the Week honor with Durell Eskridge of Syracuse.
