Hanifin attends ‘Hockey is for Everyone’ banquet

Carolina rookie defenseman Noah Hanifin visited the Carolina Ale House for the Capital City Crew End-of-Year dinner and to promote the Paper Hearts & Magnets Fundraiser on Tuesday.

Hanifin first joined the Capital City Crew’s end-of-season dinner.

As part of the NHL’s “Hockey is for Everyone” initiative, the Capital City Crew provides an opportunity for inner-city youth, ages 8-14 to play ice hockey.

Through partnerships with the Wake County Boys & Girls Club, Raleigh Youth Hockey Association (RYHA) and the Hurricanes, this program teaches children life skills and positive character traits through the sport of ice hockey.

Following the Capital City Crew’s awards ceremony, Hanifin headed into the main Carolina Ale House dining room and interacted with fans and to promote the ninth-annual Paper Hearts and Magnet fundraiser.

Throughout February, paper hearts ($1) and magnets ($3) are available at all North Carolina Carolina Ale House locations, with proceeds benefitting the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.
