EVIAN-LES-BAINS, FRANCE – Duke Blue Devils golfer Celine Boutier carded a 3-under par 68 in the final round of The Evian Championship and finished tied for 29th overall at the Evian Masters Golf Club on Sunday.

Boutier, who is from Montrouge, France, received a sponsor exemption into the LPGA’s fifth major championship, and finished second out of three amateurs competing in the field who had made the cut into the weekend.

The other two professionals who tied with Boutier, Sakura Yokomine and Marina Alex, each earned $27,638 for their placement.

Boutier totaled rounds of 71, 72, 76 and 68 over four days to finish with a 72-hole total of 287.

Korean Hyo Joo Kim won her first LPGA major and tournament, topping the field with an 11-under par, 273 final score.

Boutier completed her best round on Sunday as she carded five birdies, including three straight to end play in her second major championship tournament of the season.

She had participated in, but missed the cut at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open played at Pinehurst back in June.

Boutier returns to Duke and will make her Fall season debut with the Blue Devils at the Annika Intercollegiate from Sept. 28-30.
