Blue Devils Wolf, Aaron receive ACC weekly lacrosse honors

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Blue Devils attackman Jordan Wolf and goalkeeper Luke Aaron were named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week as announced on Tuesday by the conference.

Wolf’s recognition was the third he has received this season.

Following a 15-7 win at then No. 7 Notre Dame on Saturday, Wolf extended his point streak to 53 games and his goal scoring streak to 14, finishing with four goals and three assists against the Fighting Irish.

With his three assists, Wolf became just the fourth player in Duke lacrosse history and 14th in ACC history to amass 100 goals and 100 assists in his career.

The four goals marked the seventh hat trick he’s posted this season while he has tallied at least seven points four times this season.

In the Duke cage Aaron picked up his ninth win of the year with 10 saves against Notre Dame and helped Duke hold the Fighting Irish to fewer than 10 goals for just the third time this season.

He made five first‐quarter saves en route to keeping the Irish off the scoreboard for just short of 22 minutes while the Blue Devils (10-2, 3-1) built a 5‐1 lead to eventually outdistance themselves enough to earn the victory and extend their current win streak to six games.
