DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Blue Devils forward Azurá Stevens was named Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.

Selected by a vote of the Blue Ribbon Panel, the honor was the second of the year for Stevens, who had an impressive week of play in leading Duke to wins over the Clemson Tigers and North Carolina Tar Heels.

The Raleigh native averaged 29.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, two blocks and a steal in those two league games that extended Duke’s record to 15-6 overall and 4-3 in ACC play.

Stevens posted a career-high 33 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes played at Clemson, as she converted 11-of-19 field goals and dropped a career-high 3-of-4 beyond the arc.

The 33-point output was an ACC season high.

At home in the confines of Cameron Indoor Stadium, Stevens put together another dominating performance over the Blue Devils’ Tobacco Road rivals in the Tar Heels.

She finished with an ACC-best 12th double-double as she collected 26 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes.

Overall for the week, she scored 55 percent from the field, dropped 50 percent of her shots from the perimeter, and hit all 11 free throw attempts she earned.

On the season, Stevens is currently averaging 19 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals, and currently leads the ACC in rebounding, double-doubles (12), blocks and offensive rebounds (88), and ranks second in scoring and sixth in field goal percentage.

Stevens is the only player in the nation to boast averages over 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game.
