Opportunities with TSN

Network Owners/Publishers

We’re looking for innovative leaders to increase content depth and development as part of the overall Triangle Sports Network.

Business ownership opportunities are now available for experienced sports writers and editors interested in “putting more skin in the game” and becoming a leader in shaping the sports media industry.

You buy the Network site (i.e. Carolina Basketball Network, Carolina Football Network, etc.), similar to buying and operating a franchise business, and get going from Day 1 on covering relevant teams and entities without having to build up the technical site infrastructure, or earn credibility to gain credentials to cover area teams and programs.

Your experience in sports coverage and writing while working for others over the years has shaped your vision of how ‘you’ would run the business and guide the Network site the way you see fit.

As a TSN Network owner/publisher, you will share in overall revenue-generation that TSN makes as well as any that you gain specifically and individually for your site.

You can hire and bring on writers and other staff as you see fit, and provide valuable writing experience opportunities to young journalists under ‘your’ guidance.

Invest in the future of the sports media industry and provide more opportunities for aspiring and up-and-coming sports journalists to be the newsmakers of the day.

There are more positives and possibilities to look into this opportunity than negatives.

Contact Peter Koutroumpis at pksportconsultant@gmail.com or at 401-323-8960 to set up a time to discuss this exciting opportunity in more detail.

Associate Editors/Writers/Photographers

We’re looking for aspiring, innovative leaders who write or take photos, or both, to increase content depth and development as part of the overall Triangle Sports Network.

Are you still in school or just graduated?

Think about becoming a TSN Associate as part of building up your professional portfolio covering professional and amateur sports throughout the Triangle.

If you’re a writer or photographer, you’re an editor too!

We’re looking to fill various editor/writer/photographer positions in each of TSN’s sports coverage Networks as the site’s depth increases with your commitment to producing detailed content.

Emphasis is placed on finding committed and hard-working individuals who really double-check their work before submitting their work for readers to consume.

Along with getting credentialed to cover assigned games and events, this position does provide payment, albeit in nominal compensation and/or equivalent in expense reimbursement.

Longevity incentives and bonuses are available as well.

That goes for internship candidates too.

So, does this still interest you, and do you have the energy and talent to consider making a name for yourself with TSN?

If so, submit an application and get your path started to becoming part of a growing and expanding online news media entity.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Recent graduate or those currently in college majoring in writing, public relations, or marketing-related program.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Presentation of a professional appearance, showing enthusiasm and a demonstrated interest in sports media coverage.
  • Commitment to cover through specific sport season(s) of coverage.

What we expect from you:

  • Reporting, writing and/or taking photographs, interviewing, and posting sports news stories in a timely manner.
  • Time commitment to complete appropriate game coverage through a season as scheduled.
  • Energy and enthusiasm to be a high-quality ambassador representing yourself as part of the Triangle Sports Network.
