CARY, N.C. – North Carolina FC is heading to the postseason for the first time since 2012.

NCFC secured a spot in the 2017 NASL playoffs thanks to a 4-4 draw between the New York Cosmos and Jacksonville Armada on Sunday.

The club’s 44 points ensured at least a top-four finish.

NCFC has dropped one match in its last 11, and is undefeated in its last six.

The team has one game remaining in the regular season to decide its final playoff seeding, traveling to face the Indy Eleven on Sunday.

The Cosmos and Armada trail NCFC and will battle for the final playoff spot with only one possessing the potential to catch NCFC and join them in postseason play.
