RALEIGH, N.C. – Carolina Hurricanes forward Victor Rask finished his rookie season in 2014-2015 totaling 33 points (11g, 22a) in 80 games – ranking fourth on the team in overall scoring, and 10th among all NHL rookies.

Following an informal skate at Raleigh Center Ice last Friday, Rask provided some insight on his offseason preparation for the upcoming season.

The 22-year old logged the third-highest amount of ice time (16:20) among all Hurricanes forwards last season.

He credited his play in the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City last year with providing him additional game conditioning that helped him to make an impression at last year’s training camp.

With camp set to begin on Thursday, the Hurricanes’ second pick (42nd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft has set high expectations for himself to help Carolina get in a position to earn a postseason appearance.
