Carolina Hurricanes preseason highlights Lightning, Caps at PNC Arena

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes announced their 2016 preseason schedule on Monday.

Carolina will play seven exhibition games prior to opening the 2016-17 regular season, including two games at PNC Arena.

The Hurricanes start the preseason with a back-to-back set at Washington on Sept. 26, and at Tampa Bay on Sept. 27, before hosting the Lightning at home on Sept. 30.

Carolina then sets out on a three-game road trip that begins in Minnesota.

After facing off against the Wild on Oct. 2, the Hurricanes head to Marquette, Mich. to face the Buffalo Sabres in the first of a back-to-back set on Oct. 4th as part of the NHL’s Kraft Hockeyville game.

Both teams then travel to skate against each other again on Oct. 5th in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Carolina returns home to wrap up its exhibition schedule two days later against the Capitals on Oct. 7.
