RALEIGH, NC – The 2022 NHL Playoffs Round 2 schedule was officially released Monday.
The Carolina Hurricanes will face Metropolitan Division foe New York Rangers in Game 1 at PNC Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m..
Following a thrilling 3-2 Game 7-win over Boston on Saturday, the Canes own a 33-20 all-time postseason record at PNC Arena, including four wins over Boston in the First Round.
Carolina has won nine of its last 10 playoff series starting on home ice dating back to 2002.
The Hurricanes and Rangers will meet in the playoffs for the second time, and the first time in a best-of-seven series.
The two teams previously met in the 2020 Eastern Conference Qualifying Round, as the Hurricanes earned a three-game sweep of the Rangers at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Carolina posted a 3-1-0 record against New York during the 2021-22 regular season.
