MILWAUKEE, WISC. – Brittany Marchand posted a 4-under, 68 at Brown Deer Park to win the Symetra Tour PHC Classic by three shots on Sunday.

A former N.C. State Wolfpack standout – a WGCA Honorable Mention All-America and three-time All-ACC selection – Marchand finished with a three-day score of 13-under, 203 to earn her first pro career win during her second year on Tour.

The native of Orangeville, Ontario made 13 birdies and one bogey over the final two rounds of play to earn the $15,000 top prize, and moved up from 41st to 17th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list, having earned $28,680 in 14 starts this year.

The win also earned Marchand a spot in The Evian Championship, the final major on the LPGA schedule, September 14-17.

“It’s a really special moment,” Marchand said.

“I know that I have the ability and I know it’s in me, it’s just really cool to see it shine through….I feel like I’ve been very up-and-down this season and it has knocked my confidence down a bit because I know I am there, but I haven’t been able to see it shine through. It definitely gives me a good boost going into the last six events feeling confident to make a push for my (LPGA) card.”
