Duke’s Zion Williamson suffered Grade 1 knee sprain against UNC

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke freshman Zion Williamson was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right knee sprain as announced by Duke Athletics on Thursday.

His status was listed as day-to-day.

Williamson suffered the injury early and did not return in the Blue Devils’ eventual 88-72 loss to Tobacco Road rival North Carolina at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.

He is currently second in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in scoring (21.6), third in rebounds (8.8) and leads the conference in field goal percentage (.683) and steals (2.2).
