RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State Wolfpack earned a number one seed in the upcoming 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament, as announced by the selection committee on Sunday.

ACC tops the bracket

Along with fellow #1 seed Louisville, NC State leads a total of eight Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) teams into play in the Tournament, tied for the most of any conference along with the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

Triangle rival North Carolina, along with Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech also earned bids.

After winning its third consecutive ACC Tournament and winning the ACC regular-season crown for the first time in 32 years, NC State (29-3) earned its No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.
