3-0 win for Canes over Red Wings. A lot closer than what it should have been. Still knocking the rust off as RBI says.

Hurricanes struck by Lightning, lose 3-1⠀

“They played a good game, they played it simple,” Brind’Amour pointed out.⠀
“They didn’t beat themselves and stuck to what they needed to do, got ahead. They didn’t press in the third, they just hung back. Good game by them.”⠀

Re: @Canes 4-2 loss to @flapanthers on Saturday. “That’s the frustrating part of the game – we didn’t get the bounces tonight,” Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour pointed out. “I thought our guys played hard. Their goalie was great. Gotta give him a lot of credit, he made a ton of really nice saves. Give them credit for blocking a lot of shots, sacrificing and doing the things necessary to win a game. But I thought our game was solid. We play like that, we’re gonna get more wins than losses.”⠀
