2013 Dr Pepper ACC football tickets available

9th annual ACC Championship Game returns to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Tickets for the 2013 Dr Pepper Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Football Championship Game are now on sale as announced on Tuesday.

This year’s conference championship game will be played in Charlotte for the fourth consecutive year on Sat., Dec. 7, with a primetime kickoff of either at 7:45 or 8 p.m.

For the fourth consecutive year, the game will be held at Bank of America Stadium, home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and the Belk Bowl.

The game has sold out in two of its three years in Charlotte and has resulted in exciting matchups in each of those years.

Heavy demand is expected again this year and fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to ensure good seats.

The winner of the championship earns the ACC bid to play in the Discover Orange Bowl, if not selected for the BCS National Championship Game.

“It’s an exciting time in the ACC as we kick off the 2013 season and begin to watch the 14 football programs compete for a spot in this year’s Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game,” ACC Commissioner John Swofford said.

“As we look ahead to December 7th, we appreciate the support of the City of Charlotte and look forward to the event’s continued growth.”

Fans may purchase tickets through the ACC’s official website, theACC.com, through Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com, or locally at the Bank of America Stadium Ticket Office.

Ticket prices are $25 and $40 for Upper Level, $70 and $90 for Lower Level, and $150 and $175 for Club Level.

“We believe the ACC is going to be as strong as ever in football this year and we are very excited about hosting the 2013 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game in Charlotte for the fourth straight year,” added Will Webb, executive director of the Charlotte Football Foundation.

“We are looking forward to another sellout and terrific event in Bank of America Stadium.”

The Charlotte Sports Foundation, a non-profit organization, runs the Belk Bowl and serves as the local organizing committee for the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game.
